AS 1735.11-1986 SAA Lift Code, Part 11: Fire-rated landing doors
Standards Australia
This edition of this standard was prepared by the Association’s Committee on Lift Installations, to supersede AS1735, Part 11—1982.
Because of the specialized nature of lift landing doors and the additional requirements associated with such doors when they are fire-rated, fire-rating requirements for lift landing doors have been specifically excluded from AS1905.1, SAA Fire Door Code, Part1—fire-resistant Doorsets. This edition includes a technical change to align Clause3.1 with the revised Clause7.1 of AS1905.1—1984. Other changes of an editorial nature have been made to bring the standard into line with current SAA policy.
First published (as AS CA3, Part DI) 1974. AS 1735, Part II first published 1975. Second edition 1982. Third edition 1986
This standard sets out requirements for fire-rated landing doors for retarding the passage of fire through openings in fire-rated liftwells.
This standard is complementary to AS 1735.1, but the requirements of this standard take precedence over corresponding requirements of that standard.
