Description

AS 1288 was updated in late 2021 and has been cited in NCC 2022. What this means is when NCC 2022 becomes mandatory, so will AS 1288:2021. NCC 2022 was released on October 1st 2022 with a grace period which expires on the 1st of May 2023. At time of writing, both NCC 2019 Amd.1 and NCC 2022 can be used.

The 2019 version of the NCC cites the older 2006 version of AS 1288 (AS 1288:2006).

The main changes in AS 1288:2021 are to sections 6 - sloped overhead glazing, and 7 – barriers or balustrades.
